Née à Montpellier (1987), Léa Triboulet a grandi dans le sud de la France. En 2010, elle obtient un DNSEP en scénographie avec félicitations à l’Ecole Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs de Strasbourg. Elle a ensuite étudié à l’Ecole Film Factory fondée par le réalisateur hongrois Béla Tarr à Sarajevo.
Son court métrage The brother (prix qualité CNC), tourné à la Nouvelle-Orléans, a eu sa première internationale au Festival de Rotterdam IFFR (2017) et a remporté le prix de la meilleure réalisation au Ull Nu Festival de Cinéma Émergent d’Andorre. La dernière abeille (projet lauréat Nouvelle Aquitaine FIFIB FilmWorkout) a été présenté en compétition au POFF Tallinn Black Night (2020). Son travail a été sélectionné dans de nombreux festivals internationaux tels que Montréal Nouveau Cinéma, Uppsala, Sarajevo, Clermont-Ferrand, Leeds, Hambourg, New Orleans entre autres.
Parallèlement à son métier de réalisatrice / scénariste, elle donne des cours et des ateliers sur la réalisation et le jeu d’acteur dans des écoles de cinéma et auprès de différents publics. Elle travaille également comme directrice de casting et repéreuse avec des cinéastes tels que Guillaume Senez, Victoria Verseau, Jean-Baptiste Durand, Caroline Vignal, Camille Vidal Naquet et Bachir Bensaddek.
Elle développe actuellement ses deux premiers longs métrages Maïssa et J’irai boirai avec les abeilles. Lauréate de la Fondation Marcel Bleustein-Blanchet pour la Vocation, de la Sélection Annuelle du Groupe Ouest et de la SACD-Beaumarchais, elle est une alumna du CLOS, de l’European Short Pitch et de Pustnik.

Léa Triboulet is a filmmaker and scriptwriter born and raised in the South of France. In 2010, she holds a Master’s degree with honors in Scenography from ESAD in Strasbourg. Then she studied at the Film Factory School founded by Hungarian director Béla Tarr in Sarajevo.
Her short film The brother (CNC quality prize), filmed in New Orleans, premiered at Rotterdam IFFR (2017) and won Best Direction at Ull Nu Festival de Cinéma Émergent d’Andorra. The last bee (Winning project Nouvelle Aquitaine FIFIB FilmWorkout) was premiered in competition in POFF Tallinn Black Night in 2020. Her work was selected in film festivals worldwide as Montreal Nouveau Cinéma, Uppsala, Sarajevo, Clermont-Ferrand, Leeds, Hamburg, New Orleans among others.
She gives classes and workshops about filmmaking and acting for cinema schools and different audiences. She also works as casting director and movie location spotter with filmmakers such as Guillaume Senez, Victoria Verseau, Jean-Baptiste Durand, Caroline Vignal, Camille Vidal Naquet and Bachir Bensaddek.
She is currently developing her two first feature films Maïssa and I will drink with the bees. Recipient of the Fondation Marcel Bleustein-Blanchet pour la Vocation and the SACD-Beaumarchais, she is an Yearly Selection of Groupe Ouest, Le CLOS, European Short Pitch and Pustnik alumna.
